eSports Intramural Tournament: A Night to Remember

On November 27th, 2018, Regis Instramurals hosted their first eSports event, which consisted of NBA 2k19 and NFL19.  The tournament was put together by Dr. Conant and HFS-342 and was hosted in the Lower Student Center (LSC) at 8:00 p.m.  Many individuals showed up to participate in the event for a chance to win a prize.  Thank you to everyone who came out to the event to show support.  It truly was a successful event.

The winners, George Pearson and Juvens Dalger, were each given a prize of the jersey of their choice peraining to the game competed in.

The event was one of the most successful intramural events in Regis history with over sixty individuals in attendance and forty participants in the event.  The tournament lasted for five hours and concluded very late in the evening.

Johnny Pallotta ‘21 was one of the many students who helped create the event.  Pollata said the following, “This event was a great success not only for our class, but for the Regis Intramurals as a whole.  There are obvious things that we need to improve in order to make this just more fun and entertaining for everyone involved, but this was a great way to open up.”

Regis Intramurals hope to continue to eSports branch and introduce more effective means of competition come Spring 2019 Semester.  If you or anyone you know is interested in joining, be sure to check in with James Guaragna, who is located in the Center for Student Engagement (CSE), which is in the Lower Student Center (LSC).
