Campus Life

Finding Something New: Why I Came to Regis

In high school, I had too many options for schools and not enough criteria to judge them by.  I, of course, had my top two schools, and initially did now know about Regis College.  However, when my guidance counselor suggested that I apply, I decided to add Regis to my Common App and visit during one of the days available for tours over the winter.  When I came, snow covered the ground and the campus looked gorgeous.  I was impressed by the rolling hills and College Hall’s beautiful front stairs.  Walking through the halls, I felt very comfortable and at home as my tour group and I were guided by Matthew Norton ’17, former Student Government Association President.

During Admitted Students Day, I met so many wonderful students, faculty, and staff, and even met one of my best friends and my current roommate.  Through her, I formed a great group of friends and made even more as I joined more clubs, even starting one with friends.  By discovering my wonderful social network, I have people I can look to if I’m having a bad day, people who can help me when I need support, and make me laugh even when I don’t feel like laughing.

The genuine people that I know and those who have taken care of me in my time here have made my life great.  Working together, we strive to make Regis a place where everyone is welcome, no matter who they are.  Class of 2022, you are the future of Regis. We look forward to welcoming you to the Pride!
