A Sneak Peek into the Hottest Valentine’s Events On Campus

Don’t have a special someone to spend your Valentine’s Day with?  That’s totally fine; the events held across the Regis campus will warm your heart!

First off, did you know that  it’s actually International Writing Centers Week?  This means that the Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing will be hosting events all week long.  There will be poetry, snacks, lit(erature) trivia, and more!  There will be games, puzzles, and great conversation!  Who needs romance when you’re getting A’s?

If you’re feeling like heading into Boston, Disney on Ice will be playing at the TD Garden for the entire month!  This could be fun for a date or for hanging out with friends!  Come along and sing along with them.  The Frog Pond in Boston Common has ice-skating all set up as well, which is great if you want some exercise (or to laugh at the misfortune of others).

If you’re looking for something closer to campus, you can go see Regis students perform the Vagina Monologues at the Sullivan Black Box Theatre.  They’ll be performing on Friday, February 16th and Saturday, February 17th at 7 p.m.  The cost for Regis students is $3, and for non-Regis people, it is $5.  All proceeds go to support survivors of sexual and domestic violence at the Bakhita House.  This is genuinely a great cause to support, so bring as many of your friends (or datemates) as you can!

Check out This Week at Regis for more information about events on campus!  Want to get more involved? Stop by the Center for Student Engagement, located in the Lower Student Center) and ask about upcoming opportunities.
