Do you remember what it was like being in high school? You may have completely changed and grown as a person since then. You may have changed your major, or gained some friends. It certainly seems like it was a lifetime ago. However, when you look at the grand scheme of things, it really wasn’t that long ago.
More specifically, do you remember when you were applying for colleges? I sure do. I’m the first in my family to go to college, so we were pretty anxious about the whole process of what we were doing at first. Do you remember driving out to all of your potential colleges for tours or programs? Do you remember walking around their campus and trying to imagine yourself sitting in their library or in their dorms?
Well, now you are here in our Regis community. You belong here, and you are very familiar with the place. You know the best Donuts at Dunkin’s. You know where your classrooms are. You know your the people in your dormitory hall. You know how to navigate the maze that is the tunnel. This is your home, and you can recognize how multifaceted this experience is.
And you know that just one tour might not be enough to convey it all. While our tours are incredibly informational and prospective students get a really good idea of what Regis has to offer, they still do not have a complete understanding of what college life is truly like. You can provide someone with that experience. You can ease their anxieties and show them your home.
How? By becoming involved with our Admitted Student Overnight program. Typically, we will do three in the spring semester. This year, however, we are only hosting two. This can be attributed to that predicted nor’easter that turned out to be a dud (Remember when we all thought class would be cancelled the next day, and it turned out not a single snowflake came? I sure do!) But, you know what that means: this one is going to be BIG! It’s going to be one of the biggest events of the spring semester. We’ll have innumerable guests, and to match, there will be some awesome surprise events in store on campus. Last time, we had a casino night! We even had an arcade night set up at one point. One thing is for sure, we certainly saved the best for last with this event.
